Would you believe that Katrina Kaif is more popular than international celebrities like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Lindsey Lohan and thousands of other Hollywood actresses? True says a new survey on Global Video Insights conducted by a film, Vuclip which is the world’s largest independent mobile video service. In the survey, Vuclip ranked Katrina Kaif as the most searched celebrity on mobile videos. Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan came second and third respectively. Kareena Kapoor was ranked fourth, Beyonce fifth and Sonakshi Sinha took the sixth spot in the survey. While it is not clear what were the parameters considered in the survey, the results throw light on popularity of Bollywood across the world and the ever growing number of mobile users who are eager for more content on their favourite celebrities.
Katrina Kaif acted in two Telugu films – Mallishwari and Allari Pidugu; however she found stardom in the past few years with films like Race, Partner, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Namastey London and many other Hindi films in recent years. In 2012-13, she’s going to be seen opposite Salman Khan in Ek Tha Tiger, Shahrukh Khan in an Yash Raj production and Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3.
