JR.NTR TO TEAM UP WITH SUKUMAR

According to sources Young Tiger Jr. NTR will soon team up for a new film to be directed by creative director Sukumar.Sukumar who has good films to his credit like Arya, Arya 2, 100% Love is said to have recently narrated a story to Jr.NTR for which the latter has waved the green signal. Chalasani Rama Brahmam Chowdary might produce the film under Gopikrishna banners. He is the son of veteran producer Chalasani Gopi. Devi Sri Prasad is expected to compose the music for the movie.The film might start rolling the camera after Sukumar completes his film with Mahesh Babu and Jr.NTR wraps up Dammu and Srinu Vytla’s Action films.

MAHESH TO JOIN MULTISTARER FILM FROM FEBRUARY

Prince Mahesh Babu will join the shooting schedules of his forthcoming movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu from February 15.The multistarrer movie which casts Venkatesh as other lead has begun shoot in January and a song on the erstwhile has been canned in Vizag after which the unit canned few other scenes on Samantha and other cast. Now, the makers are planning to film a Kerala schedule in which Mahesh Babu will be participating.Srikanth Addala is wielding the megaphone for the movie and Dil Raju is producing it under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. Mickey.J.Meyer is composing the tunes for the film.

CHERRY, UPASANA WEDDING IN JUNE

Mega Power Star Ram Charan who got engaged to his lady love Upasana Kamineni is all set to take their relation to the next level by tying the wedding knot. Buzz is Cherry-Upasana’s grand mega wedding will be held in June at Hyderabad. Preparations are going on with this effect and reception is planned at Tirupathi. Megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to perform the wedding on a grand scale by making the occasion a memorable one, showcasing even his new found political clout with powers at the ruling Govt. Young Tiger Jr.NTR starrer Dammu is currently progressing its shooting schedules in Pollachi at a brisk progress. NTR will be seen in distinct getups in the movie and sources are a buzz that he is playing dual roles. Dammu has good expectations surrounded with it since it’s the combination of successful mass director Boyapati and Jr.NTR. Trisha and Karthika are playing the leading ladies in the movie.The filmmakers are planning to launch Dammu First Look and audio in early March while the movie will hit the screens in the March last week. RAMCHARAN GIVES NOD TO PLAY BIG B IN BOLLYWOOD DEBUT!

Ram Charan Tej is all set to make his debut in the Hindi cinema industry. Ram Charan will be seen in Prakash Mehra Productions’ remake of the 1973 classic Zanjeer. The Megapowerstar will essay the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in the original.

Talking about the Apoorva Lakhia directed film and co-produced by Prakash Mehra’s son Amit and Ram Mirchandani of Eros, a source close to the project told , “The 27-year-old Ram Charan is already a youth icon in the south Indian film industry. His film Magadheera has become one of the biggest hits of all times in the Telugu industry. In his five year long film career, Ram Charan has done just five films and is known to be extremely choosy. He has finally decided to work on the remake of Zanjeer, which will go on floors in the next couple of months.”
Ram Charan’s business manager confirmed the news and added, “He has given his nod to the project. However, we would like the producers to make the official announcement for the project.

Panjaa Gets Zero, What About Businessman?

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's recent movie 'Panjaa' finished its 50 days on January 27th. But the movie could not get even one single direct center. The movie got some decent collections in its first week, but due to a drastic fall in collections from second week onwards, the movie ended up being an utter flop. When Mahesh fans tried to tease Pawan fans about not getting even one direct center, they immediately burst out with anger and they are saying that even the same will happen to the so called blockbuster 'Businessman' unless the producer is ready to run the movie with deficit.
As per Pawan fans, Businessman is extremely lucky to get those collection figures in the first week. The movie has no stamina to stay in theaters till its 50 days. The movie just cannot pull the audience till those many days, and even small hero Sunil will give a big shock to Mahesh when his 'Poola Rangadu' releases, as the movie will replace all 'Businessman' theaters before it completes 50 days. Although, these words from Pawan Kalyan fans came in frustration, many analysts opined that 'Businessman' may not survive for long as the collections have dropped to extremely low and the makers will have to take it out from theaters soon to stop letting the movie go into deficits.

Rachcha Audio Releases On February 20th

The audio release date of Mega Power Star Ram Charan's 'Rachcha' has been confirmed as February 20th. The venue details have not been finalized though. The title song of 'Rachcha', which has been already leaked by the film makers, got good response. There are also many expectations on the remix of 'Vaana Vaana Velluvaaye' from Chiranjeevi's movie 'Gang Leader'. It is also heard that the song has been filmed extremely well. Tamanna is pairing up with Ram Charan in this movie. Mani Sharma scored music for the film, while the film is being produced under 'Mega Super Good Films' Banner. Sampath Nandi is the director of this most expected movie.

Pawan Kalyan Vs Mahesh Babu- Who Is Big?

Big heroes and their demand among the masses has always been a special thing. And in Tollywood, the star frenzy and their power is often in great heights and scales. Now, two men have been ruling the roost in the Tollywood circuit and both have a different graph when it comes to the box office. They are the duo of Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu. So, the point of focus among many cine intellectuals is, who among the two is bigger.

In the case of Mahesh, he scored a hit with ‘Dookudu’ but it had a strong presence of director Sreenu Vaitla’s hand in it. Mahesh also scored a blockbuster with ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Businessman’ but here again, there was a hand of the director Puri Jagannadh. However, that doesn’t mean Mahesh has no contribution of his own. His charisma and his skills as an actor are undoubtedly exceptional. And the following he generates among the youth and female audience is phenomenal. The thing that worked for him was the choice of scripts and the directors.
In the case of Pawan, though he has scored flops in the recent past, the openings have been huge for the first weekend. And if the film gets even a little better talk then it effortlessly gets into a superhit mode. According to certain statistics, few of Pawan’s films which scored flops showed only 30% difference between the collections on first day and last day of screening. And Pawan’s presence if extremely strong among the masses and youth audience, this is one area where Mahesh also finds it hard to compete.
But the fact remains that Pawan is yet to beat Mahesh. Now, it is heard that Pawan is thinking of teaming up with branded and ace directors of Tollywood instead of relying on Kollywood imports. If that happens then the percentage of Pawan scoring a success increases by nearly 40% right at the start. In today’s time, Pawan Kalyan is the only star who can beat Mahesh Babu and all he needs to do is join hands with the likes of a Vytla or Puri Jagan or Rajamouli. Let us wait to see what the future holds in store for both the stars.

Nippu unit to celebrate audio success

Raviteja’s upcoming film Nippu is gearing up for Maha Shivaratri release. It would release on February 17. Producer YVS Chowdaryis planning to release the film in a big way. Meanwhile, the unit is going to celebrate the audio success of the film.

Nippu platinum disc function will be conducted on February 3rd. This function will be celebrated on a grand scale and it would be the curtain raiser for publicity campaign of the film. All the unit members along with few other top cine celebrities will grace this event.

Raviteja and Deesksha Seth played the lead roles in this film directed by Gunasekhar. Thamanscored the music. Rajendra Prasad has done a key role in it.

2 crore worth set for Autonagar Surya

Director Deva Katta who made critically acclaimed Prasthanam is currently directing Autonagar Surya movie withNaga Chaitanya. This film is being produced by Atchi Reddy and RR movie makers is presenting it.

Naga Chaitanya and Samantha who sizzled in Ye Maya Chesave have paired up yet again in this film. This film is an emotional drama set up in Vijayawada. Deva Katta has done extensive research in scripting this film. This film is being made on large scale.

2 crore worth set is being erected for this movie. Anoop Rubens is scoring music for this film. Interestingly Naga Chaitanya’s previous film Bejawada had the same backdrop.

Hansika gets an offer to romance Suriya

Hansika has been a busy bee in Kollywood. However, she is yet to make it to the big league. She tasted success withVelayudham movie, which had superstarVijay in the lead. She needs one more big hit to be considered as the top league actress.
At this point, Hansika is offered a role to romance top star Suriya in one of her future ventures. Suriya is planning to do a sequel to successful Singham movie under Hari’s direction. This film will have Hansika playing the female lead.

Jr.NTR shoots for Dammu Fights

The shooting of Young Tiger Jr.NTR’s forthcoming film Dammu is currently progressing in Pollachi, where the unit is canning a stunning action episode. Fight masters Ram-Lakshman composing action sequences with NTR and other support casting in this fresh schedule.

NTR is appearing in a different look in the movie. He is essaying duel role out of which one as Powerful police officer and other one as terrific faction leader. Trisha andKarthika are doing the female lead. KS Rama Rao is producing this film on Creative Commercials banner.

Gabbar Singh’s producer turns NECC member

Actor turned producer Bandla Ganesh is currently producing Gabbar Singh movie with Pawan Kalyan in the lead. He is also producing Jr. NTR’s Action movie with Srinu Vytla. He is one of the fastest rising producers in Tollywood now.

Bandla Ganesh has become the member of National Egg Central Committee (NECC). He will be serving NECC for five years. Ganesh is happy to be elected as member of NECC and he said that he will try his best to give the best service for it.

Ganesh is planning to launch few more big movies soon. Currently he is focused on Gabbar Singhand Action.

Balakrishna as Kalki

Nandamuri Balakrishna will be portraying the role of Kalki in his next film. Kalki is the tentative title for Balakrishna’s next film that is to be directed by Ravi Chavali. This film will be produced by Ramesh Puppala on Yellow Flowers banner.
Parvati Melton is likely to play the female lead in this film. The film will be launched formally on February 6th and the regular shoot will commence soon. Ravi Chavali has been delivering flop films after making a decent comeback with Samanyudu.

Charan's Rs 2.80 Cr For Bamboo and Bombshell!!

It is heard that Choudary has shelled a whopping Rs 2 crores purely for an action sequence in ‘Rachcha’. This took place in China and it required loads of Bamboo sticks. Buzz is that Charan did a fine job in this scene.On the other hand, unit members reveal that Choudary paid a whopping Rs 80 lakhs to the Bollywood girl Lisa Hayden for shaking her booty with Charan in an item song. Buzz is that this is a ‘clean entertainer’ so director Sampath Nandi didn’t plan any lip lock scenes

Demand On 2 Heroines To Sleep

The audiences of the south are special people. They always give a special place in their hearts to heroes and heroines. While the hero frenzy is always there, even the heroines have their own set of admirers among the cine folks and the common audience. Right now, it is heard that two heroines are in focus.They are Ileana and Taapsee. The buzz is that a strong demand has been coming to them. Apparently, both Ileana and Taapsee are being asked to sleep properly. The talk in cine circuits is “Ileana and Taapsee are having no sleep, no food and are turning lean with vigorous diet plans. This is making them look very starved and depressing their fans.”The filmmakers are now saying “It is time both Ileana and Taapsee should focus on becoming fat and put on some pounds of flesh. They may have their Bollywood projects and its requirements but the fact remains that unless they don’t put on some cheeks and curves, they cannot look beautiful.”

'Devudu Chesina Manushulu'- Another Neninthe?!

One of the most talked about movies of the season is ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’. The reason for that is, it is going to be a project of Puri Jagannadh and the title is rather unconventional given his flavour of films. Now, the big question that has risen among many is, what genre of a film will this be.

All fingers are pointing towards one direction- Will it be like ‘Neninthe’?. Apparently, ‘Neninthe’ was a film which attempted to give a realistic side of the cinema industry and the buzz is that with ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ Puri is attempting to show about other things in the world apart from cinema and the realistic nature of human psychology.

Of course, ‘Neninthe’ was a major dud. So it is heard that Puri is taking all necessary precautions to ensure that the script is strong and the message to the audience goes with the right punch. With Ravi Teja being roped in as the main lead, let us see how this Puri masala will work.

Lady Disturbing Ram And Ram Charan

History has shown that a woman can lead to wars and crashing of empires. Even in daily life, some of the best friends tend to clash due to a girl. And right now, it is heard that one lady has been disturbing the young heroes Ram Charan and Ram. She is none other than Tamannah.

Apparently, the milky white beauty is acting in ‘Rachcha’ starring Charan and ‘Endukante Premanta’ starring Ram. Buzz is that due to both films running on tight schedules, a date clash is happening for Tammu. Despite the fact that he hails from a celebrity film family, Mahesh has his own identity and till date, he has never used his father’s name while interacting with the media or with the audience. 'Autonagar Surya' new schedule starts today

Navayuva Samraat Naga Chaitanya’s latest film 'Autonagar Surya' is set to have its new schedule from today onwards in Hyderabad. The production unit is going to film some important scenes on Chaitu,Samantha and others. This schedule will continue till February 20. With this the movie will complete the talkie part.

After this schedule the unit would leave to abroad for canning couple of songs.Samantha is acting as the female lead in the movie. Achi Reddy is producing this movie on Maxs India Banner and RR movie makers presenting it. Anoop Rubens is the music director.

'Autonagar Surya' is touted to be a mass action entertainer which is being directed by Deva katta.The makers are planning to release the movie in 2012 summer.

Nitin's 'Ishq' wrapped up

Young Hero Nitin's latest movie 'Ishq' has completed its entire shooting with the last song that was shot at Kullumanali. Currently the movie unit is busy with the post production work as it is slated for release in 3rd week of February.

The film is touted to be a romantic love action entertainer. Nithya Menon is acting as the female lead in the movie. Vikram Kumar of 13B movie fame is directing the movie. Shresth Movies banner is producing the movie, while Multi Dimension Entertainments pvt limited are the presenters. Anoop Rubens composed music for this film.

Cinematography of this film is by PC Sreeram and Ramesh Samala has penned dialogues. Sindhu Tolani, Satya Krishnan,Nagineedu, Sudha, Ajay,etc are playing prominent roles in this film. Audio of the film will be released in first week of February.

Kajal to pair up with Pawan Kalayan

If the buzz is to be believed, Pawan kalyan and Kajal Agrawal are going to pair up soon. This movie will be made under Puri Jagannadh’s direction. We all know that they two have decided to do a film. Pawan was impressed by Puri’s story line and the film is set to launch in second half of May.

Pawan Kalyan is currently busy with Gabbar Singh and he will complete the film by that time. Meanwhile Puri will finish off Devudu Chesina Manushulu staring Ravi teja by May first week. Hansika considered for Singam 2

Hansika Motwani may not be getting one too many offers in Telugu, but it is offers galore there in Kollywood. After acting with the likes of Vijay and Dhanush, she is being seriously considered for the role opposite Suriya in the sequel to Singam. The prize catch there for the cackling beauty is kicking. The second part, which again will be directed by Hari, will have the same Suriya and Anushka in the lead.

"Apart from Anushka, the script demanded another leading lady and Hari zeroed in on Hansika for the task. The young actress is happy to share the screen space with Suriya and she has a meaty role to play," say sources close to the development.

Hansika, who started her acting career when she was a child, made her debut in Kollywood as heroine last year. She was part of three big projects - 'Velayudham' opposite Vijay, 'Mappillai' with Dhanush and 'Engeyum Kadhal' opposite Jayam Ravi.

At present, she is acting in 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi', the maiden acting venture of producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, and 'Vettai Mannan', which has Simbu and Jai in lead roles.

Businessman trumps SRR, Rajanna and how?

An unsavoury aspect of the year 2011 was that two of the most critically acclaimed films failed to pull the audience to theatres and lost their glory beyond the first few days of their release. We are talking about the fate of Bapu's Sri Rama Rajyam and Vijayendra Prasad's Rajanna. The films came with the right dose of rich content, venerated performances, fine narration, and fantastic music. Above all, they starred two of the biggest stars in the industry - Balakrishna and Nagarjuna respectively.

Alas! Their popularity failed to translate into moolah for their producers. Y Sai Babu, the producer of SRR, was visibly discouraged by the response his film was getting just 25 days into its release. He earnestly urged the audience (especially the youth) to watch the film which celebrates our culture and mirrors the virtuous aspects of our deities Rama and Sita. Rajanna's producer, Nagarjuna himself, did not seem to care much for the audience turnout. He had, it must be remembered, said before the release of Rajanna that he did not make the film with the hope of minting money and was serious about acting in (and producing) meaningful films from now.

However, Rajanna's limited success, like that of SRR, is something to be felt sad about. For one, the film packed a universal theme. For another, it was a well-written, well-made period drama. Unlike SRR, which could not be expected to appeal to all, Rajanna is a film that all sections of the society would find something or the other. The very many soul-stirring songs (MM Keeravani), the leisurely pace of the movie, the performances (of Annie and Nag, and almost everyone), the action, everything was credible. Forget about the success, the near-perfect portrayal of the human Rama by Balakrishna almost went universally unnoticed.

One wonders if the fate of SRR and Rajanna has got more to do with the increasing inclination of the audience for action, romance and comedy, and their decreasing patience levels! Have they outgrown slow-paced movies? If yes, how did Journey, a dubbed movie that might have gone unnoticed, become an average farer? Is it all a sign of the decreasing aura of Balaiah and Nag? If a couple of flops behind them would mean that the audience will not watch them as well as they would have otherwise, how did NTR's Oosaravelli amass so much in the first week? (NTR had Shakthi, a super flop a few months ago). Did the audience throng the theatres to watch action and more action in this film?

It doesn't require a social scientist to tell that the audience are in love with action, exaggerated heroism, expletives (read Businessnman, which acquired the Delhi Belly syndrome), a tantalising mix of violence and vulgarity and god knows what else! If you had any doubt, be informed that a mediocre film like Bejawada mopped up Rs. 1.5 crore on its first day of release in the Nizam. In the same market, SRR could collect only Rs. 2 crore in two weeks. Talk of debased tastes?

Why SS Thaman Kicked Out DSP?

There was a time when Devi Sri Prasad was considered the hot property for any filmmakers. Today, he got camouflaged by new waves. It is known that his place has been taken by one man. He is S S Thaman.

Apparently, Thaman is beating non-stop tunes for many films. Some say, “After DSP, Thaman is the chosen one. He has been churning out chartbusters and there is a strong energy in the songs. He has captured the market and gives a competitive pricing to the producers. People have forgotten Devisri Prasad now.”

In fact, the fast delivery of work with almost half of remuneration of what DSP takes made Thaman fly high in his career. Moreover his rapport with heroes like Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu and others kept him on the first choice of big films.

However, there is another group which is not so pro towards Thaman. They say “The biggest with Thaman is his lack of versatility in music. His dependency on auto tuners is killing the beauty of voices with monotonous feel. Most of his compositions eat away the words and the tune is loud. If he can control that he will reach the ivy league.” There is another group which says “Throwing stones at a growing person is natural but such feedbacks also have a point that one should bear in mind.”

Where Is 'A' Certificate On Businessman?

Even before the euphoria over the record collections by Mahesh Babu’s latest blockbuster film “Businessman” subsided, the film has been caught in a strange controversy, of course not very serious.

The controversy is about non-display of “A” certificate on the publicity posters of the film. Osmania University students joint action committee on Sunday lodged a complaint with the OU police that though the Censor Board had given A certificate to the film, the producers and the director of the film have not displayed the same on the posters and other publicity material, which was against the censor board guidelines. The JAC leaders demanded the arrest of the film unit.

Though it is an offence under the censor rules, the timing of OU JAC leaders’ complaint is raising a lot of doubts. Some sections wonder whether it was a ploy by the JAC leaders to blackmail director Puri Jagannath or hero Mahesh Babu for money.

As a matter of fact, screening of A certificate films during the prime time on television is also prohibited. But Mahesh Babu’s film Pokiri, which also got the A certificate in the past, is still telecast very regularly on the channels. In fact, the posters of Pokiri also did not have A certificate. And, there were many such films that did not display this certificate. So, why is there an issue only for Businessman?

Pawan Kalyan As Tirupathi MLA: A Sure Winner?

With the news that Chiranjeevi has been lobbying real hard to bag a berth in the cabinet or Rajya Sabha, many are now looking towards Tirupathi. Apparently, Chiru is the MLA for Tirupathi and his entry into cabinet would mean another contest to choose the MLA for the temple town.

Now, a new angle has come from the political intellectuals. They state “What if Pawan Kalyan stands for the election? What are his chances?’. For this, some say “He will win, he has that strong following and that originality in him to appeal the crowds. Fundamentally, he is better than his brother in public matters.”

However, here is another version. They say “Pawan Kalyan doesn’t have that capability. Out of impulse, he came up with Common Man Protection Fund and nothing materialized. There is no credibility in his words. Though he speaks straightforwardly there is no seriousness in his actions. He is impulsive and momentary. He speaks well but there is no consistency in actions.”

Overall, the talk is that Pawan as MLA is a tough thought to accept.

Trisha pines high hopes on NTR Dammu

Actress Trisha was recently seen inBodyguard movie which did average business at the box office. Trisha has been waiting for big hit in Telugu for some time.Teen Maar movie didn’t live up to expectations and Trisha banked on Bodyguard to fetch her much needed hit.

Currently she has only one Telugu film on hands. She is paired up with NTR Jr. in the film Dammu, which is under production now.Trisha plays a powerful role in it. Boyapati Srinu is the director. She was not the first choice heroine for Dammu.

Trisha replaced Shruti Haasan when the latter walked out of the film citing date problems. If Dammu proves to be a good hit, Trisha would get a chance to pair up with younger heroes again. She is having high hopes on the film to act as a booster to her career.

Samantha is soon going to work under director Krish. No, no she is not paired up with Rana for Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Samantha will be working with Krish for an ad film. Samantha has been the brand ambassador of South India Shopping Mall.

The new ad campaign of South India Shopping Mall will be directed by Krish. Besides the top actors, even top class directors are being busy in directing ad films. Rajamouli and Trivikram regularly direct ad films.

Now Krish joins the league. Krish has been searching for an actress to play the female lead in KVJ. He hasn’t found the right person yet. Samantha is too busy to take up new projects at the moment.

Music of the film is scored by Manisharma. There are six songs in the movie and it is heard that the audio will be on the lines of Ramcharan’s blockbuster hit Chiruta.
