Bodyguard does well despite Businessman’s storm

Venkatesh’s Bodyguard movie has done well in its first week. It was Businessmanthat hogged the limelight, but Bodyguard has done reasonably well in the background. It has collected a first week share of over Rs. 12 crore (early estimates) and is currently going on at a steady rate.

Collections in Nizam and Overseas regions are not up to the mark though. Bollywood’sBodyguard has done well in these regions and hence there is some impact. But it did well in Andhra and Ceded regions.

If Bodyguard could sustain the steady flow of collections in the second and third weeks, it would be a safe venture for everyone that invested in it. We have to admit that Telugu version of Bodyguardwas a bit late in hitting the screens. It should have been out in 2011 itself.
