Prominent personalities from the film industry and the government consoled Dasari Narayana Rao, who was bereaved on the death of his wife, Dasari Padma. Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Tirupathi MLA Chiranjeevi and others personally visited him. Dasari, was wept inconsolably was consoled by Mohan Babu, his long-time disciple.
Among others who spoke with him over phone included Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The film industry expressed heart-felt condolences to Dasari and his family. Many film personalities and ministers like Prathapa Reddy and Vatti Vasanth Kumar placed the wreath on Padma's dead body. Politicians cutting across political parties condoled Padma's death.
