Priyudu Movie Review

Priyudu Review – Priyudu Movie Review, Rating, Telugu Movie: Varun Sandesh, who has been suffering with a flop streak tries his luck with Priyudu. Is this movie good enough to put an end to Varun’s miseries? Let’s see…

Story:

Madhu (Preethika Rao) falls in love with Karthik (Varun Sandesh) who is against love. But in an unavoidable situation Karthik has to say yes to Madhu’s proposal. From then on he tries to ditch her in various means. Finally he decides to make her fall in other person love so that he could get rid of her. What happens next is left to your imagination.

Analysis:

Priyudu is inspired from JAAN-E-MANN movie starring Salman and Akshay Kumar. Main plot is lifted from it and is given youthful look. The director admitted that he got inspired from many films to make this Priyudu.

Understandably this film has similarities with many films. Everything is seen and known before. Nothing goes against the predictions. The take off of the film is pretty bad and it gets it on your nerves as the film moves on. So many characters are introduced within first fifteen minutes or so without any real purpose.

Second half started off on a decent note, but falls flat again and heads in a predictive mode. Climax portions are too clichéd. Priyudu neither has feel nor soul. It is just another movie. Watch it at your own cost.

Performances:

Varun Sandesh is Okay. He is fine with the histrionics but he needs to concentrate upon his look and styling. Preethika Rao is ordinary in terms of looks and performance. Ranadhir is below average. Swetha Basu Prasad is seen in a guest role. Vennela Kishore tried to tickle at times. Ali is wasted. Tagubothu Ramesh is getting monotonous. Nazar and others were Okay in their respective roles.

Technicalities:

Dialogues are too weak. Photography is fine. Editing is adequate. Music is mediocre. Background score is just average. Director Sraavan knows the basics but fails to do something special in his debut film. Script is too weak for him to show his skills if he has any.

Final Word:
Priyudu is a run of the mill love story which is targeted at the younger audience. We have to if it appeals to anyone. At the box office, it opened on a weak note and might find it tough to sustain as many biggies are lined up for release from next week onwards.
